All filters can be either floor mounted or elevated on steelwork support structures and are usually fitted with a rotary valve depending on the waste transfer required. The filtered waste is transported to the rotary valve discharge point by a drag chain conveyor which is mounted in the bottom hopper.
Air/Waste is blown into the filter unit by means or special inlet sections. This enables the waste to be filtered with minimal contact with the filter socks.

The filter can be cleaned by installing reverse air flow regenerating fans.
All extracted air can be returned.
